Oh, the President can issue a pardon in this country - which is why he must never take that seat. I'm sure we'll see his true colours shining through no long after the "coronation"

The minute he becomes prez, Shaik will be released from prison. He will also chuck out all the current people, incl. Trevor Manuel and replace them with pieces of work like Julius Malema and other loons. And that's when, we will REALLY be in trouble. Things like ethnic cleansing come to mind.

Well I guess he'll be released from hospital then. He probably doesn't need to be there anyway, it's just a lot cozier than prison.

Either way, if by some miracle JZ does not become prez, we might be OK, the likely alternative is the end of SA as a collective whole and the real beginning of what life is like under Mugabe.

Isn't Shaik's parole hearing on the 13'th September?
He won't have to wait for Zuma.
If they can let Yengeni out after 4 months of a 5 year sentence, Shaik is way overdue for parole - add to that all his 'hypertension' medical problems...

Trevor is probably staying. Zuma needs him and mboweni to prevent all the foreigners pulling all their money. (Oh look...there goes R250bn)
He'll change a lot of things...but I'm 99% sure he will leave those two alone if he can.....at least for a year or 2.

I predict that Zuma will be kept in check until 2010 WC is over. After that I predict it will be payback time.
