Trying out my new imac i3
i must say i am impressed everything just works and for a "ex" Windows dude i am very happy With my "expensive" machine.

I just took delivery of a new macbook pro on friday and I'm also very impressed. Even though I have had an iPod and an iPhone for years I have always been against buying one of their computers as the prices are outrages for a machine with same basic parts as pc notebooks. Finally had to give in and buy one for iPhone development and the construction is very high quality compared to my old acer and dell laptops, it is a pleasure to work on. Just trying to decide if I'm going to use MacOS as my primary OS or Windows 7.

OSX is miles ahead of windows in my opinion. Once you get used to it, learn the tricks there will be no going back.

I am tempted to stay with osx but I have been using outlook for such a long time. Not sure if I should try replace it by using google apps exclusivley in the browser or giving the new outlook for osx a try. I still have to have windows on the machine for windows development so it might just be easier to stay in windows most of the time and just switch to osx for iphone dev.

Presumably this next statement swings things in favour of OSX?

I'd say hold of deciding until the new office for Mac with Outlook is out. If that doesn't cut it, VMware Fusion is pretty cheap - no need to reboot.

I'm loving OSX 10.10 - only thing that has put me off with OS X is the file explorer, especially if you on Windows network, just feels sluggish to connect compared to my Dell Win7 x64 laptop.

Pathfinder has improved on a couple of things like adding cut and paste etc.
