Imagine-IPS slow.. oh so slow

Hi ppl

I have a 384k Imagine-IPS account and oh my gawd!! its slow!!! Had it for 2 years and I must say... ive complained more than when I had Dail-up.
Any one use it for Gaming?? My average ping no matter what time of day is between 90 - 150.... Completely unacceptable.
Today and past month its been no less than 100 and through the days gone to 380 stable. WTF????? :mad:

Anyone else have problems with Lats and Choke with gaming?? Pls need to knw cause I think im going to change to Axxes Unshaped...

IS Satellite bandwidth is dog slow but the semi shaped accounts from Axxess is via IS Fiber (SAT3)

From the Axxess website:

Semi - Shaped : See our exciting new package that gives you the best of both worlds. Shaped and Unshaped. It's a fiber account that is a normal shaped bandwidth account on weekdays 7am to 5pm and an unshaped bandwidth account, ALL of the rest of the time. This gives you the opportunity to use unshaped bandwidth , in the evenings and weekends when you need it, for gaming, streaming, radio, IPTV, P2P and other specialised software, all with much reduced ping (delay) times, and you still have your normal shaped account during the day.

That is ridiculous, even on a 384k Line. I am on a 384k line with Telkom ISP and most games I’m getting a ping of around 20. BIG difference.

Give them the boot. It was always suggested to me to use Telkom as your ISP, and so far I am happy with them. As they say keep your enemies close.

Sorry, didnt know they were using different bandwidth methods.... just saw someone saying IS is slow :)

I will be booting them thnx for the reply guys...
Signing up for the Axxes Unshaped R299

Dont forget im also from P.E so my ping will NEVER EVER be 20 or around there no matter wat ISP or speed unfortunately damn!
