Imaginet too have higher caps!!!

lewstherin, I am in agreement, the fact that I do host a lot of companies web sites, means I will sometimes post new about them etc.

However as far as affiliations go there a diffrence. And ideeded I do hope everyone gets a cheaper price. What upsets me its the ISP's who have to do this and not Telkom doing this and the control the major part of the expense.

lewstherin, we can all live in the hope, however I think that Telkom have the collar on ICASA and not the other way around.

I've been with Imaginet for quite some time now. I've only had good service from them. Unlike ISPs like MWEB and the like, you can actually phone up Imaginet's tech support and say "Hey, I'm having crappy pings to the Tribes2 server. WTF I'm being OWNZRED!" and they understand you completely. I remember some of the support people at MWEB not knowing what "ping" is.

dude the guys that work at mweb have a file you tell them whats wrong they search and they go through all the rubbish clearing your cache checking your security level forgetting that it worked an hour ago ehhe

You must understand call cenres, anyone that knew more woud not work in that kinf of enviroment unless theywere getting paid decntly, it mostly students etc.

I'm here to update the price structure that has been confirmed on Imaginet's website:

ADSL Service Traffic Emails Price
ADSL Lite 3gb 1 R 228.00
ADSL Basic 4gb 3 R 299.00
ADSL Power 6 6gb 10 R 399.00
ADSL Power 9 9gb 10 R 499.00
ADSL Power 12 12gb 10 R 599.00

Oh woopidoo, I expected more.. They reselling similar to axxess(just cost more) and the uncapped is obviously from IS. So what exactly are they bringing forward from their own case in court? What a joke.

I digged imaginet all the years, but companies need to exist based on marketing, it just happens I guess.

I like imaginet too, and would be considering them as one of my ISP's when my ADSL gets installed (should be this week hopefully!) They're a "gamers ISP" and ye, i support that... i guess :D

I agree noone, i'm using them on isdn now, and will consider them once i upgrade, but they'll have to get their prices in order.

Whoa - price drops! Cheapest ADSL in SA

Hey

Just seen the price drop on Imaginet's page: www.imaginet.co.za
:)

ADSL Lite 3gb 1 R 219.00
ADSL Basic 4gb 3 R 299.00
ADSL Power 20 20gb 10 R 479.00
ADSL Power 30 30gb 10 R 579.00
ADSL Premium uncapped 20 R 1539.00

I think that's the cheapest I've seen so far?

isnt that R1 less than axxess and ayce? And i am sure i've seen cheaper uncapped accounts around, going for R680 ex vat. Or am i missing something?

Looks like the ISP price war has begun. Yes, I believe these are the cheapest prices thus far. Looking good. I'm still interested to see if Telkom brings out anything better. Thanks for posting Boodah.

R1 less than ayce (but ayce has a six month contract which still puts off a lot of us). R20 cheaper than Axxess for 10GB. Not sure about the uncapped accounts. Some of the accounts also include free web space, which is also a bonus.

Then it does sound good. Stuff contracts...

Right, now to rework my budget.

Thanks Boodah and VQuest!
