iMessage problems

Hi. I am using an iPhone 5s on MTN. I am unable to activate iMessage and FaceTime to use the cell number. When activating I get a message waiting for activation.

Can anybody perhaps help me with this ?

I also had issues activating on MTN when I first got my 5S.

I tried multiple solutions, can't remember what finally worked, after numerous resets.

I remember having to disable FaceTime above all else though.
Also make sure to disable LTE!!

Once you disable LTE , restart phone and try again.

Can you get internet access via safari on your phone, when I could not activate I noticed internet was dead, then killed switch on LTE and everything worked right away.
