iOS 26 - no message notifications?

I have an older iPhone 11 that I use for work, recently updated to iOS 26.1, and I'm having issues with SMS notifications. Despite checking settings to rule out filtering, blocking, screening, and focus modes, I’m not receiving any sound alerts or seeing unread message badges for standard text messages. The phone is not on silent either. The tone is set to the default "Note" alert, but the phone remains silent and doesn’t display any badge on the Messages icon. I’ve restarted the phone, but the problem persists. This doesn’t affect iMessage, only standard SMS, which is frustrating since my work relies heavily on SMS alerts. Without sound, vibration, or badges, the only way to check for new messages is by manually opening the Messages app. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Well, it seems the only solution was to "Reset All Settings." Even though everything appeared to be correct when going through all the various settings manually, this "fix-all" ultimately resolved the issue. Pity as I now have to reconfigure a few other things that I tried to avoid doing initially.
