I have a 2012 MBP with Mojave. I need to find and older version of iMovie to capture from a minidv camcorder.

Any idea where I can get a "copy"

I'm surprised backwards compatibility is an issue - what's the camcorder in question?

there used to be an ‘Apple Developer’ portal where one could download old versions of apps. Can’t find it now.

It is a Panasonic miniDV camera. I need to transfer footage to a PC and the only camera only has firewire. The only laptop is my macbook. I have the correct cable.
