My sports spectacles' nosepieces are coming apart, and the local agent does not have stock. I contacted the manufacturer, and they are willing to send a couple for free, I just need to pay for shipping.

I was thinking of using my MyUS service.

My big concern is how customs will be handled since these are free. I also don't know if MyUS will handle them without an invoice.

Any advice?

I've had samples sent before. As long as its nothing extravagant, the shipper has to mark it as gift or promo and it has to be low qty or one.

@ScottulusMaximus might have an idea..

Get or make an invoice for them showing the commercial value and add: (FREE WARRANTY REPLACEMENT: VALUE FOR CUSTOMS PURPOSES ONLY)

You'll still be charged duties on the value but won't be required to show proof of payment etc if ever asked.

The sample/gift route is more complicated.
