Importing 3D Printer - anyone with recent experiences?

Hi all

I'm looking to import a 3D printer (From Banggood, or Gearbest) and while I'm not too worried about the shipping aspect I'm worried about what SARS and customs is going to do to me when it comes to the border.

I know to expect paying 15% on VAT, at least, but I need to know if there are going to be any other costs?

Has anyone got any recent stories to share, please?

While I know it's safer to buy locally, no-one in SA has the printer I'm looking for, in addition I'd be saving like R3k to R4k by importing.

I haven't imported anything for quite a long while, so I hope that doesn't affect things.

Which printer are you looking for? Perhaps someone knows of a solution for you which is easier. I'd be more worried about support than other factors- having bought lots of printer parts- the stuff breaks.
