Hello all i am looking for some information i have imported some android media players and they are stuck at customs in JHB they are asking for a Icasa Certificate which i do not have, and do not know what i need the guy at icasa asked for a detailed test report.
i have got a certificate from china the CE and the RoHs test certificate but they are now asking for a Full test report which the company in China no nothing about nor do i the company's name is Sunveil which is a large manufacturing company in China.
Does any body have some insight in to this its the same as a cellphone as it has wireless and Bluetooth when they get imported
I have attached reports below help is needed or R100000 is gone. Thanks

Bad luck. I heard customs is getting stricter on imports. maybe try to get the model number of the wifi chip inside, then look if hasn't been approved already - I heard that if its been approved already its not that hard to get certification. Could be wrong though.

what lesson we not all bright like you comments like that do not help keep them to your self thanks

Any device with a wifi chip being imported needs an Icasa license. Can cost thousands of rands and can take months to approve.

You are correct if its been approved before just needed to know what test certificates are needed. Thanks

bring in a single device on another order, it will pass through customs without enquiry as its value will be deemed too small. then get it tested and verified ICASA watnot, and then use that to release your order..

just saying..
