Impossible to cancel Paradigm Solutions contract?

I have a month to month contract with Paradigm Solutions - the 1GB + 10 GB local.
I've been sending them e-mails(about 6) since Monday requesting them to cancel the contract ,without any response.
I've also phoned them on Monday and are still waiting for the promised
e-mail from them.
With customer service like this I wish them well for the future!!!

I have also had a client who have had trouble canceling an account with them. Try e-mailing billing@ or maybe accounts@ if you have only been using support@.

I am surprised after calling them you would need to wait for an e-mail - I don't see why they couldn't do it real-time.

Best of luck - try what bwana said if these all fail :( (yes I know it's a pain).
 
hahahaha, been buggering around with them for a year now, on internet hosting contracts, they are pathetic, they lose debit orders hahaha after 3 months of billing, and send me a final demand notice. just canceled my one hosting contract, and going to get rest over as soon as budget allows. good luck with your contract you need it

I've sent e-mails to their support ,sales and accounts e-mail addresses.
The lady I spoke to insisted that I cancel via e-mail notification and promised me she will sent relevant link - still waiting.

And then they have the audacity to make this claim on their site :
"Thank you for submitting your inquiry. One of our consultants will contact you shortly.
Usually we contact you within 2-5 hours depending on the volume of enquiries."


They probably meant 2-5 years or there must be many people complaining they cant handle the huge volumes.:mad:

That is ASTOUNDING to me. It tells me one of two things, either - 1) They outsource their support and therefore don't have direct access to cancel the account, etc. 2) -May be against the board's rules for the statement-

i have my website domain thru them...
the support and account staff are usually keep to reply to any of my request..

hav had a problem once wher they forget to credit my account, but they resolved that in a day...
 
yo know what a uphill battle it is to get anything done though them.

I am transferring all my domains from them, they seem to have forgotten my debit order once again.

don't try there call center there agents cannot even make a sentence yet alone help you with a problem.

Webafrica, top notch, quick efficient, friendly Qualified support, bit expensive but the reliably and service makes up for it 100%.
 
I've received an e-mail response from them today after sending them e-mail again last night.

In short they are saying that they did respond to all my e-mails but that their server is being blocked by ananzi(my e-mail server)!!!

They obviously forgot that I have sent them at least 3x e-mails from my TELKOM e-mail address to which they also did not respond to.

Can you PM your ticket id and your account details so I can double check this. We always try to reply as soon as possible. It is not possible that our staff wouldnt had replied to your many emails. I will get back to you asap if you can send me details please. We did have few issues in last 2-3 weeks in sending mails to ananzi clients. We were then replying to those clients with an alternate smtp and probably you got that reply only.

I have re-enabled it, you try again please. I know there is something fishy with my profile as I did struggle before with PM as well.
If you cannot PM then please give me a ticket id here if possible because I would really like to check what was the cause of this communication gap. Its quite dis-concerning to us if your queries were only replied after many attempts.

I so wish I'd googled Paradigm before I paid them for a domain name registration last week Monday, because I have had 2 weeks from hell with them. After not even initiating my domain name registration for 3 days, I asked them to cancel it and I'd take my business elsewhere - they got very speedy and promptly registered it! I then asked them to allow me to transfer the hosting of the site to a new hosting service and they have now blocked this attempt twice on 7 & 9 November!!
Their dis-service is hell on earth - tons of computer generated e-mails, then mails from different people who respond to one e-mail, but didn't get any of the others ... and now silence, no response at all since my request on 1 November.
How do I say give me my domain name back any clearer than I have?
My advice to anyone who will listen DON'T USE PARADIGM SOLUTIONS.
 
I have to agree with all of you guys complaining here. I got irritated with them invoicing me R15 per month for some website hosting back in 2006. So I requested to pay upfront for a year, which they agreed to and I quickly actioned. After a year I find out that they have increased the monthly premium and as a result my prepaid amount didn't cover the year as was agreed. So I asked to cancel the account. That was September 2007.

It is now September 2008 and they still haven't resolved my account issue. On principle I refuse to pay extra when their accounts system is not able to keep us with their agreements.

Unfortunately they take roughly a week per email response and each response disregards the previous comments as it seems a different person deals with each reply to a ticket.

I will never ever do business with the Host4 Group or Paradigm Solutions ever again.
