impossible to update software.

hello, this is my first post here. i hope somebody can help me.

I want to update from Mac OS 10.5.2 to 10.5.8 But no luck, when I try to install the file i get this message: "You cannot install Mac OS X Update on this volume. This volume does not meet the requirements for this update." I tried it with 10.5.8 and with 10.5.5

I tried using the system automatic updater also with no luck.( it stops responding about 10% into the installation) . I also verified disk and disk permissions. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks

not the combo, the smaller files in both cases.

Smaller = delta
Delta is from 10.5.x to 10.5.x+1

So the smaller 10.5.8 upgrades 10.5.7

You need the combo.

Sure? Okay... so 10.5.8 combo will upgrade me from 10.5.2 no problem?

yes.

It will upgrade all versions of 10.5 to 10.5.8 regardless of which version you have installed.
