Improved fuel economy device...

I built 3 Hydrogen generators.

Have a problem with wires overheating.

Basically that generator they show there does not produce enough Hydrogen to run a car on.

It is in addition to your existing petrol supply.

You need about 65 litres of uncompressed Hydrogen per minute to run a car on.

Busy building a 101 cell Hydrogen generator.

There are lots of issues around hydrogen.

It is extremely dangerous and explosive.

It is possible to create enough Hydrogen on demand to power a car.
 
It works when you add water vapour into the engine manifold.

What happens inside the engine is when normal combustion of a petrol fuel mix takes place, the water vapour turns into steam wich gives you more Va Va Voom

The Germans used the same principle in the second world war in their warplanes.

I can explain to you how to build it, but if you end up killing yourself, i am in no way responsible.

The chemicals you have to use is scary stuff.

The baking soda as electrolite causes oxidation of your valves.

Your engine will rust up from inside, do not use it.

I am certainly going to try this... not with my car, but maybe I'll start with an old generator...

This is a hydrogen fuel cell.

What i am talking about is generating enough Hydrogen on demand to power a normal internal combustion engine.
 
All I tried to point out was that the technique of Hydrogen-on-demand works, and is actually tried and tested by government agencies, and not only by "amateurs"... And if it can help with a better fuel consumption, why not try it?

Personally I'd only feel safe driving a car that's been designed to run off alternate fuels - these aren't things that should be hooked up in a back yard to existing vehicles :)

I think it will be years before it comes on the market.

I have been working on a Hydrogen generator for 3 years now.

Finally perfected it.

Works like a charm.

Soon i won't be buying petrol anymore.

Ford ,Mazda and BMW have the same system.

It involves a tank with compressed Hydrogen in the car.

Very dangerous in the event of an accident.

Personally i prefer not to use this system at all.

Driving around with a Hydrogen bomb inside your car is not my idea of safe motoring.

What i am talking about is generating Hydrogen on demand in the car.

You only produce it when you need it.

You do not store it at all.

It is simply too dangerous.

Ok so there might be some truth to having the hydrogen in addition to the petrol thus, theoretically, reducing the amount of fuel required?

Yes,

There are many issues involved though.

Firstly, Hydrogen explodes in the engine.Petrol burns.

Normally a car engine timing is set at 8 degrees before top dead centre(this can differ from car to car)for burning petrol.

This means that the spark is introduced whilst the piston is still on its way up for combustion stroke. The petrol/air mix starts burning.

When the air/fuel mix reaches maximum expansion it pushes the piston downwards to power the engine.

With Hydrogen it works differently.
Hydrogen explodes.

With your engine timing set at 8 degrees top dead centre,and the spark introduced, the explosion is so violent that you will bend a conrod,or break your crankshaft.(the piston is then still on it's way towards top dead centre when the explosion forces the piston back.)

You need to delay your timing to 8 degrees after top dead centre.
