Improved fuel economy device...

Ok so there might be some truth to having the hydrogen in addition to the petrol thus, theoretically, reducing the amount of fuel required?

As for answering this question:

You certainly will get better fuel consumption with a Hydrogen/petrol mix.

In newer vehicles however, you have a oxygen sensor installed in the exhaust system that regulates the petrol rich/lean mixture.

As soon as this sensor realises that your car is burning petrol more efficiently, it automatically makes the mixture richer.

This equates to you using more fuel,and you would not have a fuel saving.

This sensor needs to be bypassed.

The concept is based on oxyhydrogen.

We prefer not to call it oxyhydrogen.

Some people also refer to this as "Brown's Gas"

What i did was to seperate the oxygen completely from the Hydrogen.

Oxyhydrogen is extremely explosive.

Never work indoors with it.

Hydrogen is extremely light, and collects on the ceiling inside an enclosed space.

The moment you switch a light on, the spark is enough to ignite it .

Gone is your house and most probably you as well.

I repeat, i will take no responsibility if you guys should be so stupid as to kill yourselves.

The electrolysis i am talking about here is most definately not Grade 8 stuff.

A normal 12 volt system is used to generate the Hydrogen.

It would be extremely unwise to pretend that you know what you are talking about, when clearly you do not know.

It is also a fallacy that it takes more power to split the Hydrogen atoms from the oxygen, than the power you get out.

Also, i said not to use baking soda.

There is a good reason for this: your engine would rust up from the inside.

As for your comments about not shooting yourself, and stating that it a rubbish idea,i would rather not comment on that.

To produce Hydrogen, never use 220 volt ac.
You must use 12 volt direct current,2 amps max.

220 volt ac will cause the electrolite to heat up and produce steam.
You do not want that.

Tapwater damages 316 stainless steel, and reduces the amount of Hydrogen produced.

As an electrolite you shoud use KOH or in simple terms caustic soda.

Always use distilled water.Stainless steel plates are expensive.
 
Caustic soda is extremely corrosive and should not be touched by hand.

Always ensure that you have an adequate scource of clean water close by,in case of accidents occuring.

As I said, I'm very interested! Anything to make people independent from government and the big corporates! I am already thinking about getting all the know-how to convert cars to electrical, and then set up a shop where I can teach people how to do it, or do it for them. But if you have a hydrogen variant, that will also be cool! :cool:

I am having the prototype built.

The 316 stainless steel plates have to be cut by laser,to prevent the plates from warping, also it has to be done tovery fine tolerances.

As i explained before,the supply wires tend to overheat,with 12 volt 40 amps.

As i have no electronic background, i got a guy to design a circuit board to reduce the amps in order to prevent the wires overheating.

As soon as i assembled the generator,and installed and tested it,i will place the entire thing on my webpage.

Anybody that wants to build it then, can.

Once it is on the web, proprietry right to the design automatically expires and no one can lay a claim to the rights as it then would be in the public domain.

I intend placing test results,plans,and safety features on the web page.

I will keep you guys informed as to progress.

I do not know that the Faraday Principle applies in this case.

I installed a 105 amp alternator.
It takes about 1 horsepower from the engine.
With a 12 volt system and dual batteries i only use 2 amps to generate with.
On the smaller reactor i produce about 2 litres of Hydrogen per minute.
This is not enough.
So i am building a 101 cell generator.At 2 amp current draw.

In theory i should be able to run a 4.9 litre internal combustion engine with it.(without petrol)

The magic number is 68 litres of uncompressed Hydrogen per minute.
