Improving 8ta signal - Router positioning for optimum speed?

I moved my router where it receives free and unrestricted access to the incoming signal and saw a spike from 200kBs to 2mbps.
In other words the router is practically outside.

My theory is that the 8ta signal is readily available but is too weak to penetrate walls and even windows.A 3Grouter is an absolute essential component to get the maximum signal strength because moving that modem just a few metres can make a huge difference.
 
true indded, if i'm in the balcony i get better speeds over 4 mbps, but once i'm inside the house is dead slow

Still waiting on you 8ta. You said the network guys are looking into it, meantime it gets worse everyday :-(
