I'm currently in a situation at work where a certain person, recently got promoted and is above me, finding devious ways to get me into trouble. I'm at my wits end and don't know what to do. I have done nothing wrong to this person and we were in a good working relationship and I can't see why I'm targeted. I'm fearing that I might end up loosing my job.
Sure I can look for another job but I need to deal with it now before I loose my job.
Please help! What must I do?

Start a diary noting events to prove malicious intent. Serves as proof if you raise a grievance and if worst comes to worst and you go to ccma.

Edit - confirm everything in writing via email

The person gave me instructions and I followed it to te tee, but the person went straight our manager and said that I did not do as I was told and I took shortcuts and did not think that it would go unnoticed, but I did not, this it to just mention one instince, this person is lying and the manager does not want to hear my side or any excuses.

Sounds like my bosses wife always out to get me for no reason quite irritating :p

When I worked for an engineer too he was like that also and ended up quitting as I could not take it anymore. (Got another job at the same work since they wanted me back and earning more for less work days :D so was a blessing)

Challenge him next time he lies
Punch him in the face
Mess with his car bakes
Tell on him

...just quit and show the sorry bastids how they cannot cope without you

Seriously though - I'd challenge him in front of the big boss next time he lies (not like you want to stay friends - you want his job)

I do that every time after I pooped with the dirty toilet paper
Maybe the boss is picking up things about you that you're not fully aware of?

Before getting all shirty with emails or taking it up with HR, try the normal man-to-man way. Talk. Straight. Over a few beers.

This.

Most effective method.

Have a paper/electronic record of everything you are asked to do, and confirm in writing when you've completed and what you've done.

If it's appropriate, ensure others are cc'd in.

If you really like your job, make the twerp look good - he'll leave you alone (I know, it sounds counter-intuitive, but it works).

^^Not this - everybody is replaceable in business

^^This but without the beers

Is your boss of the opposite gender?

She is secretly sending you messages that she is sexually frustrated. Satisfy her needs and she will be easier on you.
