In-body image stabilisation

That is just the body though so standard price at Photo Discount World. An 18-150mm will set you back another R11k. I wish Canon would bundle it with the R100 and R50 instead of sticking with the outdated 18-45mm. Purchasing it separately will still set you back the same as an R10 where it could have been a good budget option.
Outdated? It was only introduced in 2022, coincidently at the very same time as that 18-150mm...

Exactly. The 18-150 practically supersedes it so I don't know why Canon released the 18-45 which people report to be soft. And after 3 years they still don't have it in kit apart from the top end cameras which is strange as it's only R4k more so a lot of people will go for it with a cheaper camera they can upgrade later. The market is saturated with second hand 18-45 lenses for this reason and you can't even buy an R100 without one. It's no wonder people ridicule Canon with all these strange business decisions.

Save your money - invest* in quality used EF glass.

And of course you can buy the R100 body only. And it's currently 10% off at your shop of choice.

Edit: *provided you're planning on making money out of it

Actually the 18-150 is a pretty decent a versatile piece you can just carry around with you. Would buy one even if I have EF lenses. For some reason the R100 is never there when I look and neither is it at orms.

There's only one crop sensor lens I ever considered a worthwhile purchase and that's the EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM. I'm not sure if there is a RF equivalent but full frame lenses are always going to be preferred by people with access to FF bodies, or aspirations of getting one.

Happy to confirm the R6mk2 suffers less from rolling shutter in electronic shutter mode than the R7.

I told you you won't regret the MK2. There's a reason there are so many second hand R6MK1's for cheap.

I couldn't even find one when I looked. TBH the only reason I went for the Mk2 was the price $1999/R36k.

At the time there were about 5 on Orms. R36k is rather good for the MK2. I wish they'd release an R8MK2.

Quite a good price for those interested

I love my R7 but it's definitely got its foibles. Hopefully they release a Mk2 soon.

Meanwhile I'll shoot mine until the shutter falls out. It's only rated to 200k but so was my 7Dmk2 and that's had three times that to date.

Well its reception has been good so far with no major complaints. They'll probably release a successor rather than an update. I'd rather they release an MK2 of the R8 that will address the battery issue and other shortcomings. Canon is yet to start releasing quadruple digits and letter namings of its R range.

It's got bad rolling shutter which is huge negative for anyone who does any sort of action photography. That's pretty major and common.

Bad in your case... I don't think it's supposed to have "good" rolling shutter. It's supposedly better than the other crop models but worse than the full frame ones which is usually the case and fit for the market. It sounds more like you're looking for an upgraded model than just an MK2 version.

So apparently Canon is releasing 5 new cameras next year. Don't think there will be any more this year. One retro look APS-C possibly similar to the R10 or R7, a 100+MP monster, an upgraded R6 MK III, and an upgraded R10 MK II.

Now I don't know, the R6 MK II already seems to be maxed out. The R10 does not need a 32MP sensor, IBIS or dual card slots. It sounds more like an upgraded R7 and completely misses the point of the R10 being a budget option of the R100 and R50 with professional controls. Of course reviewers are raving about it claiming the R7 sensor produces much sharper images. Users however are not convinced saying the R10 is perfect as is and can be upgraded with firmware while the R7 is only marginally better in the image quality department.

Whatever the case is it was already supposed to be released in August but there's still not even an announcement yet. There's been a lot of such rumours with no camera following or it turns out to just be a misidentified new model like the R1. So there's still hope that this abomination doesn't ever see the light of day.

Good. With its appalling rolling shutter problems the R7 is in definite need of update. Take my money now please.

I don't have a problem if they upgrade the R7 since it's time for something new in the APS-C segment. Just leave the R10 alone, it's a good bloody camera for its intended market.

And it needs to support a grip.
