Recommend me some in-ceiling speakers and an amp with Bluetooth connectivity..

I don't need audiophile grade speakers, but also not something that sounds like it's made out of an empty apricot jam can.. Bluetooth connectivity is a must though..

We will be building our braai area soon and want some in-ceiling speakers for music..

For Bluetooth speakers just purchase a Bluetooth boomer box that connects to your mobile phone or amp.
For real audio you will need cable. and an amp to deliver the sound to your speaker system.
Ultimately you need to purchase an amp that has "Zones"

Otherwise those boom boxes seem good. (Never heard them yet but they seem the good thing)
My Amp has Zone's but never used them as I use all my speakers for a 9.2 setup.

Yeah, the speakers will be wired, which is why I also asked for a recommendation on an amp with Bluetooth connectivity..

Don't want a boom box that needs to be carried around and has to be charged and or plugged in when in use..

Want to be able to switch on the amp, connect a phone and hit play..

Why not attach a half decent soundbar to the roof and run a power cord to it? That way you get Bluetooth and a remote to turn it on and off

That means a stand alone subwoofer.. not to mention that it would appear you can get away for less money than a decent sound bar for decent in-ceiling speakers and then win in the aesthetics department..

Firstly
How much dust, dirt and how many small leaves will there be in the ceiling?
IMO a ceiling is a dirty place and it'll cause your sound to deteriorate quickly.

I would go soundbar as mentioned.

Only ones I ever had were some infinity ceiling speakers and they worked pretty good.

If you are just looking for some general sound JBL should be fine. They offer quite good bang for buck.

None.. brand new roof being installed and I will be installing and sealing the ceiling..

Not necessarily a decent soundbar without a sub can sound pretty decent. Plus if you're only got speakers in the ceiling the benefits from the sub wouldn't really be felt anyway.

Sound bar's are designed to be at a specific height and location. It will sound terrible mounted higher up.

Just get a JBL speaker. Install a little shelf with a fake pot plant next to it. Those little things are powerful.Just switch on and play music.

My boss had downlights installed, and it interfered with his speakers wires in the roof. Put in conduit, otherwise you going to hear static over the speakers.

I would look into the same speaker systems they use on fancy speed boats. Those things pump out nice sound and are waterproof

I have a Heos stereo amp running the kitchen and Heos wireless speakers in other rooms and garage.
They just work, no issues of bluetooth pairing / connection loss.

Get some nice Jamo 2 way's

I dunno hey, a wide band soundbar that isnt doing any fancy room correction should do fine mounted high. I dont expect OP to be using any sort of atmos or dpl enhancements - it is bitrate starved over bluetooth anyway?

A soundbar like the Yamaha SR-C20A has decent forward projection (down in this case), sounds good-enough for background music, has bluetooth 5, is reasonably powerful, is a reasonable price, only needs a single power cord run to it. It is a much easier solution to sourcing a muxer and amp to a passive roof speaker or paying the premium for an active speaker that has essentially the same specs.

Check this out on takealot: Samsung 2.0 CH HW-C400 Dolby Bluetooth Soundbar with remote control
This mounted high but pointing at an angle should work.
