So I watched Star Trek 2009 again in light of Into Darkness coming out soon and it really made me miss some good sci-fi.

Vampires and Zombies is NOT sci-fi!

I'm talking Star Trek and Farscape, Andromeda(first few seasons).

But I'll take anything at this point.

Any recommendations?
 
Space kinda stuff... Firefly and Battlestar (even Caprica), general Sci-Fi... The Walking Dead, Fringe, Lost, Angel and The X-Files
 
Same here. No decent sci-fi anywhere. I ended up watching the entire star trek: enterprise series & am about half way with star trek: the next generation. Defiance seems decent, but I haven't found a good copy of the season premier yet.
 
Just watched the trailer for defiance. I'm intrigued. Episode only released today though.

720p will probably be out tomorrow.
 
Good sci-fi seems to be dead. I am looking forward to Defiance though but not holding my breath. Last good space sci-fi was SGU.

I know that feel bro. Watching that awful lens-flaring, beer-brewing, franchise-raping, product-placing, cash-in action crapfest makes me long for some GOOD sci-fi too.

Try some real Star Trek, or Stargate SG-1, Farscape was pretty decent. Firefly was quite good, very heavy on the fiction, not so much the science. Battlestar Galactica's remake could have been really special but took a massive nosedive in season 3 and the series was ruined. Or if you want something really weird but oddly addictive, nothing beats Lexx.
