Increase MP3 bitrate

I know I can't increase quality, but my media streamer doesn't play low bitrates (64kbps). Is there a way to save it as a higher rate - even a 96 to fool the streamer to play it?

* Don't ask how I got 64kbps mp3s ... I only found them now :/

you can re-encode to a higher bitrate even though the actual quality wont improve.

EDIT - iTunes should do the job.

i use dbPower amp. It integrates very nicely with windows explorer and it will allow u to adjust your bit rate accordingly. Unfortunately it is not free.
