Increase SABC funding: ANC

In other words. It's not an effective enough propaganda tool. So throw public funds at it.

The public in SA does not own squat. The gov takes our money and does with it whatever suits them - Usually meaning whatever benefits them most. Accountability to the citizens of SA - A big fat ZERO. We criticise and they pull the race card or call it treason or urge us to respect elders. What hogwash. That's like trying to talk with a porcupine. All paranoia and spikes.
 
So they all agree now after 4 years that the SABC's programming is dismal :erm:

IMO the value of the liabilities that come with it exceed the value of the broadcasting licence.

If I was offered the SABC for free I would turn it down.

Just imagine the retrenchment costs of all the useless staff, for starters ! No, thanks !
 
Governpigs need their propaganda tool. But thats a great idea, lets throw money down the toilet instead of working helter skelter to improve the lives of the desperate in the townships. Then if they watch the news they can see and hear how dearly the ANC loves them.
 
Does this come with a guarantee, that this additional funding will not result in an immediate increase in SABC exec renumeration
