I've just got a quick question for any one from Port Elizabeth or maybe any one from Cape Town (I don't really know if it applies to CT)
Any one notice a increase in latency (roughly 20ms) from Friday ?
Yes I know 20ms is not much to write home about
I do play online games, 20ms is big difference especially for a 3G connection. My post is probably aimed at the gamers. Or any one who happens to have a old speedtest result lying around dated from before Friday
Some points I would like to make:
1. Tested my connection on three different towers still the same latency result
2. Tested it on another computer result the same
3. Tested on a laptop on the road etc
Now the most interesting point is my business DSL which uses Telkom Internet (Saix) is also showing a 20ms increase as well.
So I have a question for the more knowledgeable people on the forum.
If there is a problem with the Saix backbone in Port Elizabeth would it affect both the DSL(Saix Customers) and 8ta(Saix ?) equally
Edit
Sorry I should have been more clear, this post is about my 8ta connection
