So we lucked out there!
Seems some one at incredible connection is gonna be in kuk!

Ohhh nice.... Karma is a bitch Incredible connection!

don't worry, the first time you use it, your finger print scan will be sent to us.

we'll call you soon, and bill you the difference...

thanks for shopping at incredible connection.

Well the great thing is, consumer laws prevent incredible corruption from doing anything.
Its not up to the consumer to check that you have given them the right product. Its your stock, we will see that we have what we have ordered. If incredible connection makes the mistake then its there mistake. Nothing they can do about it. They'll just have to write it off.

I envy you, though how are you going to explain yourself when you have a problem with the laptop and send it back to them because its under warranty?

Watch out it doesnt bite you in the bum. You decided to keep it... what goes around comes around - life can be like that.

I would take it back if i were you. They gona find out sooner or later(Maybe when you take it in for repair) then they will charge you for it because you used it/didnt return it.
But its up to you if you want to take that chance. Who knows, maybe nothing will happen:)

They can't blame him - he could no nothing about PCs, and not even know there was a mistake.

Never so sure what your true legal standing will be on this as most laws are urban myths about these things. If they invoiced you out say laptop x and gave you y you could be held liable for theft, but then again they have to prove that the error did not lay with them - very hard considering they have a security checkout.

But enjoy your laptop - its nice to hear when somebody gets a good bargin.

How can he be held liable for theft? They handed it to him.

Thats as good as saying a store that hands out something free, can change their mind and charge you with theft.

You going to be held liable for it. Same like how if you get an extra paycheck. They will clame it back from you because you knew that it wasnt yours when you took it. If they gave you a pc with lower specs than what you baught they wouldnt say "Oh sorry sir,its your fault because you didnt check what we gave you"
Its your duty to check if you got what you signed for...whether its in your favour or against it.

I strongly disagree. What if they sold it to someone who knows nothing about computers? Do you think that person is going to believe them when they call up and say, "We gave you something more expensive, you must now come pay us more money".

My R50 is on them not even realizing- to inefficient.

I would think that in general legal terms IC agreed to sell him Laptop A, he agreed to buy laptop A, there was consensus ad idem (Meeting of the minds) and a valid contract of sale. Now he discovers that there is a different laptop, there is no longer consensus and thus no contract of sale. Sure can take a chance and keep it but it may backfire. The old adage "Honesty is the best policy" may be the better option!

But ag thats just me. Ive had my fair share of bad experiences with these things. Keep it, enjoy it and hope you dont get into trouble. Theres a massive difference between the two laptops so its definately a risk.
