Information Bill passed

Stories and reporting has plumbed new depths, bias and speculation the order of the day. Thank the media for bringing this about.

Bollocks.

Thank a corrupt, lying government that has a ton of dodgy things to hide for this.

Opposition MPs asked Zoombie to send it to the ConCourt to see if it passes constitutional muster. They also said they'd launch a legal challenge if he doesn't, essentially forcing the bill into the ConCourt.

Thanx :)

And Mogoeng Mogoeng will preside over that, no?

The statement said over 100 meetings were held over the bill, which makes it probably one of the most consultative bills since the advent of democracy in 1994.
Correction, not consultative, controversial would be a better word.

Having so many meetings on this and still push it through, that just stinks of a dictatorship.

nothing ever was done about the corrupt politicians even when the articles were plastered over the tabloids, so really whats the difference if we just don't get told about it....

Hey you South Africans. Be positive. At least the crime and corruption (reporting) will drop now :D I wonder who is going to be the first journalist ending up in jail because of possession of "Unlawfull" or "secret" information. WTF welcome to the new South Africa :D
