Hi Everyone
I am having a big problem with one of my servers.
It is a file server with thousands of folders.
One of the technicians removed the security rights and replaced it to all the subfolders and files on on of the folders.
Unfortunately when I try to take ownership it only works for the current folder, when I try to replace owners on all subfolders I get access Denied.
I then try to replace the security rights for current folder and replace all sub folders and files. Still Access Denied
I then go into the folder which I took ownership off and now I can take ownership of the next folder/file.
The problem is however that I am not able to force the security or owner rights through all folders and files. On this specific folder there is more than 900 folders with 12000 files and I really dont see the reason why I should take ownership 12900 times
There should be a second way to do it. Maby a CMD command?
Please assist.
