I prefer the cinema prestige seat spacing. Those seats are too close
 
Numetro has a looonnggg way to go to catch up to Ster Kinekor's cinema experience, IMO. The last time I risked it at a Numetro (Menlyn), staff vacuumed right outside (open!) theater doors, the seats were decrepit and the snack counters were a disappointment.

I'm all for competition, so let's see if they've managed to improve things to a decent level

Last time I visited Nu Metro was at Monte Casino. Workers would not allow anyone into the theater as they were cleaning even though the movie already started. Only finished 10 minutes after the movie started. I found it way past unacceptable and have not gone to a Nu metro since then.

Ster Kinekor 10x better.

And those seats in Monte are really siff - last time we went a couple next to us took a sheets of plastic - now that got me honestly worried that they had pre-planned a movie experience and brought along seat covers :sick:
 
Dolby Atmos finally decent sound in a cinema in S.A - well besides Imax seem to have the acoustics sorted out.

Had to watch a movie that was projected against the left wall once for the first 30 minutes before they realized it, and several that tried their best to destroy everyone's hearing within a 5-mile radius.
