Insomnia help needed.

If he tried stuff, I assume he's no longer continuing with them. Movies and series keep your brain buzzing till all hours and the blue light adds to the insomnia effect, but often it's about cutting out the cortisol which builds up - exercise helps with that... but we're talking a good sweat for at least 30-40 minutes a day.

Unless you treat the cause(s), it's pointless wasting time. Go to a sleep clinic to see what's potting or be consistent with the (multiple) things that could be causing it.
I find any movies released after 2019 generally puts me to sleep.

he doesnt sleep so he is in bed early apparently but doesnt sleep
he doesnt sleep and if he does its 1 to 2 hrs max and he is up before sunrise everyday for prayer
i dont know about the drugs but food he used to love food and snacks, he stopped that a little
as far as i know he cant sleep so he watches movies series
dont know about stress
he isnt overweight actually very thin bodies
exercise - only thing he tells us is sexercise

Doesn't sound like he's putting much effort into trying.
He should definitely exercise daily, form a routine, eat earlier if possible.
If he has an AC/fan crank it up before showering (have a shower as per normal and just before he gets out make it as cold as he can withstand) and leave it on till morning.

The idea is to drop his internal temp and the temp of the environment around him.

He can also buy some Magnesium glycinate start off with 200mg and increase the dosage up to 400mg if the initial dose isn't sufficient after a week.

Please tell him to research the side effects before going out and buying it.
