Ok first of all, is there anyone here who had this before?
I am not sure I have it, but for the last few months or so I slept a average of 3-4 hours per day and feel completely fine afterwords, I go to bed at 3 am , If I go earlier (I even tried 9 o'clock), then I still don't fall asleep till exactly 3 am. and wake up at exactly 5 -6 am.

I do not stress a lot, maybe I do but it doesn't feel like stress really, I feel the root cause of this might be because I played mmos (wow) for almost 4 years following a similar kind of pattern while in school.

Is there any way of getting this right? At times my body feels tired but my mind fine and I pass out for a few hours(luckily this only happened when I read a book at home or something similar).

any help would be appreciated and secondly is this even insomnia or might I be suffering from a really messed up sleeping pattern?

start off with 1000 pushups, if still able then go onto 1000 jumping jacks, if able go into 10km jog, if able then restart with pushups..... :D

well i end off my gaming 1 hour earlier than i want to go to bed ea 9pm then i start reading a book wich instantly makes me sleepy and relaxed (hot shower before that relaxes the body). you could always mix in some physical activity during the day if you don't allready. a still mind helps, busy thoughts might keep you awake.

LoL doing 1000 push-ups will take me to the next morning :D
I quit gaming completely , I only troll forums every now and then, got a bit bored this week so my trolling extended :D

I don't know much, but it sounds like a messed up sleeping pattern. when I'm helping out at the family business I need to wake up at 5am, I normally go to bed at that time.

I will lay awake in bed from 12am to about 3-4am before finally falling asleep, then waking up at 5am and not happy with anyone around me at all.

Best is to switch of this little nasty thing that keeps you awake (your pc) and try your best, it won't get better overnight, but give it a week and the new sleeping pattern will have started to set in. ;)

Maybe then with the new sleeping pattern, you can switch on the pc again! :p

Well Kiepie I tried that, didn't work to much I have been trying for the past month with no luck at all. The thing is I don't feel to tired when I wake up , I tried drinking it away, going out etc, I came back and couldn't even stay asleep during my hangover? WTF is with that :(

Melatonin is related to the mechanism by which some amphibians and reptiles change the color of their skin and, indeed, it was in this connection the substance first was discovered.[16][17] McCord and Allen discovered (J Exptl Zool, 1917) that extract of the pineal glands of cows lightened frog skin, while Aaron B. Lerner is credited for naming the hormone and for defining its chemical structure in 1958.[8] In the mid-70s Lynch et al. demonstrated[18] that also in humans the production of melatonin exhibits a circadian rhythm.

I can do a camouflage in water! :P

You have become used to go to bed at 3.
Rather stay up past 3 until 10:00 AM or until you are dead tired.
Then go to bed.

That will get you out of your pattern quick.(or screw it up entirely)
