Install Win 7 from USB?

My laptop which supports USB booting however complains about a non-systems disk or replace media.

Any other ideas? Need this for the morning.

Ok, I just tried the USB boot on my desktop and it works perfectly.

Wonder wtf the laptop does not work?

Good news is I'm installing on a desktop tomorrow so no worries, touch wood.

I know this may sound silly, but creating your USB boot disk on 32-bit machine will not start a 64-bit installation. Or something to that extend, I learnt the hard way.

Hi Guys

I got a copy of Microsoft USB Tool (before they took it off), to install the Windows 7 ISO to a USB drive, to install on pc and laptops without dvd drives.

It a very small file (946KB)

You can't do it from XP, you need Vista
