R1600 for dish, installation, LNB and cabling isn't that bad, actually.
Granted, you may be able to save a few bucks if you shop around and negotiate but that price certainly isn't high by any standards.

That's actually really good advice. I forgot that some retailers offer an installation voucher with the initial sale. (You may be charged slightly more but definitely not an extra R1600)

I also think that the best option is just to do it ourself, I haven't done it myself yet, but it can't be that hard. IRG, did you use a bigger dish, or just the normal standard size? Care to share some sort of diagram of your setup?

They reccomend a bigger one, I have the inbetween one, I think. And it runs fine 99% of the time. Only when there is really bad weather does it fade out. But in the last 4 months thats happened like 3 times if that.. and only for 10 minutes max.
