Just want to know if this is possible? Currently my apartment only has a shower but there is enough space for a bath.

Anyone know what I would need or know any cheapish plumbers in Cape Town

Speaking from experience, get a reputable plumber. Pay the bit extra, its worth it at the end.

Make sure it is done correctly, you don't want damp to come an bite you in the a$$ later on.

But I have to ask why?

Would I need permission though? Just wondering what the reason would be, not trying to be snarky genuinely curious what the rules are only recently moved out

It's an apartment, which mean your renting which means you don't own the place.

Which means your landlord will kick you out

Mmmh he didnt state that he is renting? Know many people who own their own apartments and actually stay in them. But yeah if he is renting he would defnitley need premission from the landlord/Owner.

Highly doubt he owns it, if he does it makes him the landlord which means he would know the drill

I really doubt he would even consider putting in a bathtub if he is renting the place. However I can be proven wrong....

Also thought that, but then I remembered this is South Africa.

hang on a second sugarlips
i own a couple of apartments (thus a landlord), but i'm useless with a drill - although pretty good with a crochet needle if it's a doily you need

Omw guys firstly not a HE...lol

Yes I do own the apartment, only recent moved out on my own.

I'm part of the body corporate, only 4 flats here so I doubt I'll have trouble asking. Just wanted to know if any legal shizz needs to happen

*eye roll*

This is hardly the deep internet...
hehehe

I would highly recommend that you get a plumber to do the job for you. You do not require permission but will have to inform your BC of your intentions out of courtesy.

Are you going to remove the shower? If yes, consider buying a bath with a wider end and keeping the shower.
