Installing software on Iphone 4S problem

Hi Guys, I need some help, I have downloaded the latest version of the software update for my iphone 4S.
I selected the download only option.
when I connect my phone via usb to my computer it prompts that a new software version is available for download.
My issue is that I have already downloaded the software, I just need to install.
Its not prompting this option. Please advise.

you might want to try again later, there is probably quite a spike of people trying to download latest version of software and that may cause problem for a few hours until the treffic dies off and these are not solution to this way
then try it device connect to itunes and update
