actually its a bunch of IEC officials taking Mandela's special vote at his house the other day. not government, not ANC. So they made a speech first and all wanted to shake his hand afterwards..

I doubt it, prison mellowed him. You have to keep in mind that he was a terrorist, not only classified as such by SA but other western countries as well. The CIA (USA) eseentially handed his ass over to the SA gov. at the time.
