Insurance 'black-mark' ?

Before calling the OSTI, check with A&G's internal complaints resolution. They may have an internal ombudsman sort of individual as it may be quicker than going the OSTI route.

Nope you wrong!

I'm trying to find evidence of that fact either way.

What I don't understand is why so many sources will say that insurers don't have to insure code 3 vehicles.

Why would they say that if they don't have to insure any vehicle?

Many Underwriters Wont Cover a Code 3
The risk is way too Big for them.
Some will and some wont, I think you will just need to phone around.

They can refuse to give you insurance if you are a high-risk client. His insurance cancelling adds to that.

Any new company will be likely to charge him higher rates.

Then with a few to many bad marks down the line....

Any short term insurer can decide and pick and chose any risk they want or don't want. At one stage BMW M3's were on a decline list of most insurers. And every insurer has a decline list which is standard. Most insurers won't insure left hand drive vehicles either.

Some insurers will do a code 3 for the time being but the general rule of thumb is 75% of market value and a inspection by a authorized body. The rating would probably be higher as well in general.
