mmm I see so you force the game into DX7 nice! never would have though of that even though it does have DX9/8/7 compatibility.

But mine still doesnt work good. in inside areas (like hallways) it works great i get 70 FPS but from the moment i get a view of the outside/am outside it drops to 6...

@Firefist - goodluck! You wont get anywhere; its not meant to be a gaming machine so there is no hardware support for graphics acceleration (think its called Open GL - not sure), the reason why it still works is because is being "software-rendered"; however if you do come across a solution - I would be the first in line to to try it too.

i'm having a Toshiba laptop with an intel chipset, same as yours.

i have a 1.66 GHZ processor and 1024 MB Ram, But when i try to run CSS (it passes system requirments) it works but i have a framerate of 2-3 ?!

everything is set to low though recomended says most things should be on high. i used the parameters you told me but it didnt make a difference. menu has 250 FPS but from the moment game starts it drops to 1 and then raises to max 3.

My Laptop meets requirments, so i dont know what could be wrong. HL2 works but also choppy in SP.

you using vista or xp?
model of the toshiba?
