I can eek about 4 hours out of mine, however, that's with the screen dimmed and the CPU powered right down. It is probably because of the 1.6Ghz processor + radeon X600 - IOW, it needs significant cooling.
Or maybe because it's a **** design
Laptop purchases are never easy on a budget. This was the only one in my price range which had the specs I needed - basically, either an ATi or Nvidia video card capable of gaming. I kinda regret that decision now, as I really haven't had a great deal of time to even play games.
Worse still is the screen is the old type TFT, which can only do 1024x768.
Ah well, probably will sell it in a few months for £450 or so and get something more like LGM has - smaller and more portable.
I have enjoyed the laptop, don't get me wrong, however, only after a month or so did it's shortcomings start to become apparent, most noticably, the bloody keyboard. I still haven't got 100% used to typing on this tiny board. What irks me is that there's acres of unused space around the keyboard area.

Stupid design.
