That's what it's about - what you need is a sturdy plank, little bigger than a standard atx m/b - then you drill 4 holes (here you have to measure carefully) around where the cpu cooler legs will fit. so you can now place the m/b flush on the plank and insert the cpu cooler, bingo! no problems!
I do admit though it is a crap design!
I have never had a problem before, just make sure you support the board when installing.
