Intel has created a $300 million Ultrabook Fund for what it considers the next big thing

Never said they don't make pretty stuff, that would be silly. Just not original or technically very good. Although caring about what your laptop looks like is like worrying about what color your car's pedals are. If you want something pretty, buy jewelery, or OMG FABULOUS window dressings or something. Ironically, back in ancient times when they were actually good, their products were fugly. Seems priorities got mixed up somewhere along the way.
