Hi,

I would like to know which one of the T6670 and P7370 is the preferred processor.

This link reflects the comparison between the two:

http://ark.intel.com/Compare.aspx?ids=37117,42109,

I received a new Acer Travelmate 5730 which should have had the T6670 processor inside but when I started it up it had the P7370 instead. Now they gave me the choice to either keep the P7370 in place or to change it for the T6670 processor.

Your views will be appreciated:)

I would go with the 7370 more cache and 1066 MHz fsb. Even thopugh clocked a little slower it will handle information quicker.

I notice the P7370 is 25W TDP and the T6670 is 35W so the P7370 will actually give longer battery life for the same performance, which I would say is better on a laptop.

Definitely keep the P7370. 1MB more cache and a faster FSB. 200MHz is hardly worth the effort. It's also the low power version of Intel's mobile CPUs, which is essentially what you want in the average laptop. See whether you can't perhaps get a credit note for the difference (if the T is more expensive).

thanks, by the looks of things it is a close call and will tehrefore stick with the current processor as it will be useless to go through all the trouble seeing that the processors are nearly the same.
