morning all

can anyone recommend a good Intel X48 mobo that itsnt going to cost me an arm and a leg... :sick:

Im going to buy a new mobo, and from what I can see going Intel P45 is not a good idea in terms of performance at all... especially when thinking of running crossfire in future.

I currently have a Asus P5N-D (Nvidia 750i SLI) which Im now learning is a total piece of crap... (yes JUGGY you were right :D)

Depends what your arm and leg is worth :p

No but you'll probably have to fork out quite a bit for an X48 mobo, unless you buy it secondhand.

Im getting annoyed at these review sites, they confusing me...

Some say the X48 is the best thing since sliced bread, then others say dont bother, just go for a P45

:confused::confused::confused:

X48 and P45, wrt to top-end boards, both are going to max out any dual or quad core when overclocking and provide indistinguishable real world performance. Same thing with a single GPU, however when in crossfire the X48 has 16+16 instead of the 8+8 on the P45.
So if you're REALLY going to crossfire then get an X48, especially if you game at 1920x1080 or higher..

Am I missing something here, I only see P45 and X58 chipset based boards in my pricelists.
