Inter iBurst traffic - is it immune to capping and shaping?

I have recently setup a dc++ hub (ibust.kicks-ass.net) as many of you know to test speeds between iBurst users. It seems that traffic between iBursters even after being capped is decent. If I can get enough people to join the hub we can find out if this is definitely the case! If anyone else has any of their own experiences to share...

I can confirm traffic between ibursters is fast. Not full speed but still fast! I think the connection could be maxed with enough downloads at the same time.

Been connected on the hub for the past 3 hrs. I can assure that we are shaped - i havent hit anything over 6-8KB/s..

anyways just thought I'd mention its not immune to shaping, but most of the shaping happens with packet shaping (intelligent firewall) at the gateway, so they can still throttle ibUrst to iBurst traffic but more likely than not they will never use packet shaping, only create artifical bottle necks, so basically if you can get 3 sources for a file theres no reason why you shouldn't be able to go full speed (assuming the sources have not saturated thier upload) even after being capped.

The fact that such activity screws the ability of those on the fringe of the converage area to actually have decent connections aside, I doubt that this will remain the case for much longer....

It wouldn't cost WBS a cent to allow iBurst <-> iBurst transfers, aside from basestation congestion that may be caused as a result

it does in terms of internal traffic, they have a limited amount of traffic that can be on the network and now iBurst to iBurst has a slice of that amount, if the amount is noticable or borders on disrupting normal everyday internet for other users WBS will put a throttle on iBurst to iBurst connections

Here's the subtext to just about ALL the fighting.

Think: 'lab rats in a cage'
and
'some rats who have connections with the Scientists running the Experiment, or vested interests in keeping the Experiment going.'
and
'some rats desperately sneering at other rats pointing out the cage is too small'
and
'the rats who like the overpriced and too small cage are attacking every hint from other rats that this cage is too small, isn't good enough, and the time has come to leave the cage and walk away.'

That's basically a summary of why there's increasing fighting on Forum.

Just about every post in 'apparently fighting' threads - is ACTUALLY about the above.

It may appear to be about other issues - but its between those rats who like the cage, and want other rats to like the Experiment as well - versus the other rats who are waking up, seeing that the cage is a cage, and is too small and that the Experiment is over.
