Johannesburg - South African consumers would for the first time have access to internet protocol television (IPTV) or triple-play, which would offer multimedia access to data, voice and live video streaming, telecommunications group Alcatel said yesterday.

One combined bill! Maybe in other countries but definitively NOT IN South Africa. Currently we pay three bills just for internet access (adsl line rental+ISP costs+voice line rental).

You're right, in that circumstance you would have a combined bill.

I am just pissed off at Telkom because in South Africa I don't have the choice of excluding my voice line rental from my bill as I don't use it and because of ISP accounts being limited to a ridiculous 2 and 3 Gb, I have to buy extra bandwidth from my ISP just for that current month when I go over my cap.
