If the guy can't be curteous and friendly over whatever medium of communication the customer chooses then move onto the next person.
Rude, dismissive people don't get my business.
True, he wasn't interested in replying properly, then what is his work ethic like?
I like the approach you took. Sommer email them all at once so they can see who all you sent the mail to! The onus is on them to get back to you
This makes my life easier, I ask for quotes, I get to see the people, get to see how they present themselves and thus I know the type of work to expect.
no but if you prefer the cheap way out of emailing then i would think you not all that interested
a very interested customer is the one who will phone and ask for service
E-mailing is not considered cheap, it's considered convenient.
I disagree..
I get irritated trying to deal with company that can't converse with me on a medium like email. I don't want to have to phone companies until such time as I'm sure that I will be dealing with them.
I can call, the option is there, but if you have e-mail, especially to do business, then use it properly, thus why I use it, why must I spend money making calls when e-mails are free and they just mean the person will get back to me slower than making a call.
I call the manufacturer, they have service technicians that do call outs.
True, but they also charge a hellva amount.
As for the washing machine, the motor was broken as well as the drainage, one of the guys I e-mailed came through, called me, quoted it, and I said, go for it.
He repaired it and said I can pay when I have a chance (Since I'm not even at home)
Now THAT is service, I will obviously pay as soon as he SMS's me the banking details, but the trust me like that, and leave the ball in my court as to when I pay... that is customer service.
I also asked my mom about him and she said he was such a nice man, he explained step by step what was happening in a way that even SHE understood what was going on.
Hell, she said she probably could've fixed the washing machine herself after he explained things.
Cost to fix everything, R420.
