Or you can just wait for service pack 3 for Windows XP (makes DirectX 10 compatable with XP) and skip Vista

There is already a leaked SP 3 out for XP i have seen it and it dosn't support it at all rather get Vista , im running it with no problems becuse my machine can handle it plus its fully updated so far im enjoying my DX10 goodness

SP3 doesn't support dx10. XP never will support dx10! I'm running SP3 v3264 RC1 (public release) jsbtw
Vista is great, video drivers for vista sucks. Hopefully games will run as fast as XP on vista soon. That's the only reason why I don't bother with vista yet. The difference between 20fps and 25fps is huge, even though it's only 5fps

How many games are you playing in DirectX10? One, two maybe? I only have Crysis and Hellgate: London that would be able to run in DirectX10...

DX10 is about performance more than visual features

I'll be going to a LAN soon, and just to prove you XP loving buggers wrong I'm going to install every game that I can and prove that it runs fine in Vista.

Ya but that's one game, and generally Vista is the same or a little slower with games, for now.
Not talking about dudes with uber rigs, just us mere mortals.
How much slower? Like I said, in all the reviews and tests I've read, XP is the same if not slightly faster, even with the latest drivers.

I myself still think Dx10 is not ready yet nor is Vista, it just has bad performance IMO, Dx10 was just created to give a reason for people to buy Windows Vista!
