Been thinking on this for a while and still wondering why things are like they are. Diginet is expensive where ADSL is not. In order to keep Telkom's gravy train going they can't afford too loose any business clients and that's probably why we're being ridiculiously capped and priced on ADSL. Is it a bandwidth problem or is the real problem Telkom that wants to keep on raping businesses?

Some other thoughts and stuff...

You watch 3rd degree on E-TV? Wondering why Telkom is always sponsoring 3rd degree. Maybe they know 3rd degree will whip their arses and trying to stay on the safe side.

The media should do more to show the public what Telkom is upto.. Here's a couple of news articles I have compiled. Thanks for the great posting.

There are indeed many behind-the-scenes politics we are not informed about. With the monopoly Telkom is not an enemy many companies would like to have. The fact that Telkom is one of the major reasons why small businesses are struggling financially is seldom documented, and the effect it has on our Tech development is even more hidden. Where else have you heard of certain useful technology, like WiFi connections being illegal? You may purchase the technology but not use it, because of a law protecting a monopoly…strange indeed.

hehe, yeah... something like that. i actually remember reading this thread when working at my dad's company in the holidays of 2003.
We were still on 56k dial up and didnt even have the R7 Telkom special :/
