What I truly do not understand, is that every report that is released says that internet access of whatever kind generates jobs, GDP, wealth etc. Yet our gauvament's policy regards Telkom, does not recognise this fact. They prefer their current share of Telkom's profits, to the vastly superior financial benefits to the country (and them) through cheaper telecommunications.

How is it possible to be so blind? It almost seems like the gauvament is deliberatly sabbataging the country...................

I actually find that quite offensive. SA's economy is doing pretty well by any international yardstick - the sustained growth rate has been impressive and both Moody's and Standard & Poor's have raised their rating levels. Inflation is at levels unknown in my lifetime and the Rand continues to get stronger.

The issue here is of relinquishing a state-run industry, and the pace (or lack) thereof; by making out that the leaders of the country have no education you sound just a little "Old" South Africa.
