Hi Everyone,
I have a 100mpbs fibre connection with Clear Access, with Cool Ideas as my ISP (recently switched over). I have been getting intermittent packet loss for years, and after switching from Clear Access as my ISP to Cool Ideas, I'm still getting packet loss (I hoped that it would go away).
I created a support ticket on Cool Ideas' website, and went through all the tests that was recommended to me. In the end, the support person said that they see no issues on my line, and that I should let them know when I "see packet loss" so that they can investigate. But this is very difficult to do when the packet loss is intermittent.
Just as a note:
I am the only person that uses this fibre line, and always connect via ethernet cable. I've also tested different ethernet cables, and circumvented my router by testing directly from the ONT using a different computer (laptop).
So then started looking for help online and found this forum.
Here are the tests that I ran, with their results:
1) iPerf test, with my computer plugged into router via ethernet cable:
2) iPerf test, with my laptop plugged directly into the ONT via ethernet cable:
3) Tracert via PingPlotter with computer plugged into router via ethernet cable:
[Notice the "hop count" of 80 for the 3rd hop - when compared to the other hops - and the inconsistent latency for IP addresses that are only 5-10ms away.]

Some other issues that I've noticed on this line:
Similarly to result (3) above, I've run multiple tracert tests for hours on different days (via PingPlotter) to cptts.gameservers.com, and always see the same type of results. I'm not sure if this is significant, or even contributes towards packet loss, but I noticed that the IP address on the 3rd hop in the tracert changes very frequently between IP addresses 100.99.1.225 - 100.99.1.227, as well as "ping spikes" on the various addresses in the tracert.
If anyone can assist with this, I would be extremely grateful. This packet loss issue isn't "extreme" by any measure, but it is very annoying - especially when gaming or in meetings (voice chat / video calls). I do see more packet loss from about 19h00 to about 23h00. However, the packet loss is consistent throughout the day. In other words, when running something like PingPlotter, I can see <1% packet loss throughout the day, and spikes up to about 2-3% in the evenings.

Code:
[ ID] Interval Transfer Bitrate Jitter Lost/Total Datagrams
[ 5] 0.00-30.04 sec 35.8 MBytes 10.0 Mbits/sec 0.000 ms 0/27781 (0%) sender

[ 5] 0.00-30.00 sec 34.2 MBytes 9.57 Mbits/sec 0.124 ms 1190/27777 (4.3%) receiver

Some other issues that I've noticed on this line:
- Recently, when connected to my VPN (NordVPN), I can't load any websites. Almost as if there's a DNS issue or something.
- Frequent quality loss when in Teams meetings, or when chatting on Discord / Teamspeak ("robotic" sounding voices, or short breaks in communication).
