And HXX ....

Cape Town - As introduced in the February 2005 Budget, the National Treasury has introduced substantial revisions to the treatment of motor vehicle allowances and company cars, according to the latest Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement (MTBPS).

Introducing the MTBPS in parliament on Tuesday, the Treasury said the deemed annual private kilometre figure where actual travel is not recorded has been raised to 16 000 from 14 000 for individuals in the 2005/06 tax year, and will increase to 18 000km in 2006/07.

As of March 1 2005, the deemed method for calculating fixed business travel cost was adjusted by introducing a residual value element and by capping the car value at R360 000.

The monthly fringe benefits in relation to a company car would be increased from 1.8% to 2.5% with effect from March 1 2006, the Treasury added.

Where an individual with a company car is required to pay for fuel, the deemed monthly fringe benefit will be decreased by 0.22 percentage points and by a further 0.18 percentage points where such an individual is also responsible for the maintenance of the vehicle.

funny, I am not having any issues - pretoria

He? Your definately not is Sunnyside, my 3 customers in that area's lines are down and Telkom says it is having difficulty finding a technician to send out. Man, its just below that big blue-lit tower of theirs!!!!

And worst of all, they say, reboot your modem, reset your modem and that crap, and they waited till I finished pretending to do all that stuff AGAIN before they said they'd send a guy out.

Oh ja, my yahoo messenger and one java chat I use is dead, the porn and technology sites I visit still browse fine though.

email stuffed

Highlands North: international working, but email stuffed, no gmail or overseas pop3.

Down here too JHB south no connection to US servers.

I should know better than to phone the ADSL helpline , that just puts me in a worse mood.

I always get through to a PDI who is just happy to sit there and earn R2500.00 per month or whatever and does not really give a crap about your ADSL and the fact that you are paying through your ass for it.

Conversation something like this :

ME : is there a problem with ADSL at the moment
PDI: YES
ME : so what is the problem
PDI : dont know
ME : Telkom ADSL sucks you have had about 4 problems
in the last month and i am paying R800.00 per
month for this , i-burst rocks compared to Telkom's
ADSL.
PDI : YES

at least that last part made me laugh although i don't even think he was listerning to me mabye watching the clock for home time.

SAIX up to its old tricks, nothing new. The only thing that wont be stuffed is their transparent proxy.

THX MARTIN!!! Hope the problem get sorted soon although the Telkom service consultant told me there is no problem on the SAIX side - I must phone my ISP :( Typical IDIOTS!

ah F U C K , International down again, Clipse on IS account / Do you know of any problems ?

Maybe a stupid question why would Telkom care is ADSL was not shapped, people would use there caps quicker ? what up with that

If everything was not shaped, there wud be no "unshaped" accounts to charge us more for :)

Also bandwidth reasons, etc ,etc... *egm*

ffs~!~@ no msn no internationals.......wtf these past few days @@@@@@@@@@
-_-||

I phoned SAIX support, and I explained that I started reporting this issue at 9pm last night. Either I am been lied to, or they really are to stupid to notice major problems on their network.

But basicaly they informed me (an hour ago), that there may be a problem, and someone may be investigating.
