Hi guys,

I know there are a few programmers who do international contract work and get paid in dollars.

How do you search for and land such contracts?

With the current exchange rate, you must be smiling :D

All depends on your skill set, we find most of ours on sites like https://www.freelancer.com/ you get a job doing a task then if we like the work we make an offer.

Been doing remote work for australian companies for over 5 years

Hi,

I am also interested in doing this. However I don't know how to get that first job, and to start building some sort of reputation.
Any idea's or tips?

Thanks

I have friends :) Simple as that. To earn dollars it's often not what you know, but who you know. I'm not doing that much work that gets me paid in dollars, but then again, the amount I get paid for doing one project is about 3-4 times as much I get paid for doing the same sort of project here.

Can I be your friend and start doing the same lol :)

Hi all, I have awesome opportunities available for Developers to earn $ and work remotely from Home, I will be posting all the details on MyBB today with Company name, salaries and how to apply. You are more than welcome to PM me if you would like for me to email you the details directly, it is mostly JavaScript Development however they are open to any developers that are willing to learn.

Keep and eye out!

Can't seem to find these posts. I must be looking in the wrong places... :(

Getting a job like this is not something that is easy to land. I got lucky by being active in a certain community and getting noticed by the right people.

One thing I can recommend is having an active Github profile which can act as a portfolio if you have contributed to public projects, this definitely helped me.

Good luck, and yes you notice that exchange rate! :D
