ALERT: International consumer ADSL access

We are experiencing an intermittent International ADSL connectivity problem. Our upstream service providers' engineers are investigating the cause of the problem. We will post more details here shortly once we have more information.

Services such as Instant Messenger and websites hosted overseas(google,facebook) have been affected.

Fortunately local speeds have not be affected.

As a temporary solution, Afrihost has setup a proxy server that will offer international access through our hosting infrastructure until SEACOM is back online.

Please note that international access speeds will be reduced. As such you won't be able to access YouTube and several other media streaming sites and services.

To setup your computer for browsing please set your browser to automatically detect your proxy settings and set the proxy URL to http://www.afrihost.com/proxy.pac

If you have trouble accessing any websites after international service is restored again, please remove the proxy server settings.
